Senior QA Automation EngineerGenesis10 is currently seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role focuses on software quality assurance for commercial card teams, with a strong emphasis on automation testing. The ideal candidate will leverage expert-level Java and Selenium skills to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks in an Agile/Scrum environment.Responsibilities:Create comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test casesPerform regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testingManage defect lifecycle and collaborate with development teamsIdentify edge cases, risks, and automation gaps using strong analytical skillsWork independently and take ownership of automation initiativesCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)7+ years of overall software quality assurance experience, with 5+ years focused on automation testingProven experience working in Agile/Scrum development environmentsExpert-level proficiency in Java for test automation developmentStrong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriverExperience designing and maintaining robust automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model, data-driven frameworks)Experience with test execution and reporting tools (e.g., TestNG, JUnit)Strong skills in API testing automation (e.g., REST Assured, Postman with automation)Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)Proficiency with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket)Ability to write and execute SQL queries for backend data validationExcellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skillsDesired skills:Experience with mobile automation testing (Appium) is a plusExperience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Exposure to containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)Strong knowledge of the Payment domain in BankingPrevious experience mentoring or leading QA automation engineersPay range: $49.37 - $57.37 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
