Communications Coordinator ILocation: Culver City, CA 90232 Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite Pay: $30.00–$32.00/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week Assignment: September 14, 2026 – September 14, 2027Position OverviewWe are seeking a Communications Coordinator to support publicity efforts for HBO and HBO Max Original programming. This role will assist with entertainment media relations, press materials, show assets, talent coordination, publicity events, budget tracking, and other day-to-day PR activities.The ideal candidate has prior entertainment publicity or public relations experience, understands entertainment media and social trends, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with talent, producers, press, and internal publicity teams.ResponsibilitiesManage publicity assets, including photos, clips, loglines, biographies, and headshots.Draft press releases, media alerts, and other publicity materials.Maintain press contact lists and editorial calendars.Coordinate talent travel, detailed itineraries, and glam services.Track show budgets and process departmental invoices.Support the planning and execution of press and publicity events, including premieres, red carpets, junkets, photo shoots, festivals, awards shows, Comic-Con, TCA, and Upfronts.Assist with talent and media relations during publicity events.Compile campaign coverage reports and coordinate press mailings.Maintain department and team calendars for ongoing publicity activities.Participate in publicity brainstorms and weekly PR meetings.Qualifications1+ year of entertainment publicity or entertainment PR experience required.Knowledge of entertainment press, media trends, and social media required.1+ year of experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Experience communicating professionally with high-profile individuals, including actors, producers, executives, and members of the press.Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, and X preferred.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.Additional RequirementsCandidates must be available for overtime as needed, including occasional mandatory nights, weekends, and on-call coverage for red carpet premieres and other publicity events.Benefits (employee contribution): Health insurance Health savings account Dental insurance Vision insurance Flexible spending accounts Life insurance Retirement plan All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.We also consider qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with legal requirements.
