Wellness Studio Manager

Job Summary

A growing wellness studio in the Valencia and Santa Clarita, CA area is seeking a warm, organized, and sales-focused Wellness Studio Manager for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This in-person role is ideal for a motivated leader who enjoys creating an exceptional client experience, building member relationships, and keeping daily studio operations running smoothly.

The Wellness Studio Manager will serve as the first and last impression for guests, members, instructors, and community partners. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on membership conversion, client follow-up, front desk operations, scheduling support, and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome members, first-time guests, and drop-ins while recommending appropriate classes, services, intro offers, memberships, and wellness amenities.
- Conduct studio tours, promote current offers, and close memberships, intro packages, gift certificates, and event registrations in person and by phone.
- Manage client follow-up, re-engage lapsed members, maintain accurate records, and help turn event traffic into booked first visits.
- Oversee daily studio operations, including opening and closing, room readiness, front desk coverage, laundry, supplies, and client-facing spaces.
- Coordinate schedules for classes, massage services, amenities, instructors, and part-time support staff to help keep operations running efficiently.
- Track new members, conversions, follow-up activity, and operational updates for monthly team meetings.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, plus commission.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Set weekly schedule, including some weekends and studio events.
- Hours: Full-time preferred, minimum 30 hours per week.
- Work location: In person in Old Town Newhall, Santa Clarita, CA, serving the Valencia and Santa Clarita area.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage daily wellness studio operations, including front desk flow, studio readiness, scheduling, and client experience.
- Drive membership sales, intro package conversions, event follow-up, and client retention efforts.
- Support instructors, part-time staff, and service providers with scheduling, communication, and operational needs.
- Maintain accurate booking, purchase, client, and follow-up records using studio software.

- At least 2 years of management or leadership experience in a studio, gym, spa, boutique fitness, retail, or customer-facing service environment.
- 3 to 5 years of related experience is ideal for this level of responsibility.
- Proven sales ability and comfort asking for the sale in a consultative, client-focused way.
- Strong communication skills in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Ability to work independently from written procedures and take initiative without constant direction.
- Strong organization, follow-through, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using booking, scheduling, client management, and point-of-sale software.
- Available for a consistent weekly schedule, including some weekends and studio events.
- Positive, centered, professional presence with the ability to make guests, members, and staff feel welcomed and supported.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with WellnessLiving, Mindbody, or similar studio management software.
- Experience supervising support staff or coordinating instructor schedules.
- Personal interest in yoga, wellness, holistic health, fitness, or mindful living.
- Familiarity with the Santa Clarita community and local client base.
- Background in membership sales, boutique fitness, spa services, wellness events, or community-based retail operations.
