Overview DLP Staffing is currently accepting applications for the position of: POSITION TITLE: Warehouse Worker Location: Eagle Pass, TX FLSA: Non-Exempt Hire Pay: $10.50-$11.00 per hour. Classification: Full-Time JOB DESCRIPTION: The warehouse worker will be responsible for loading and unloading, storing, tracking inventory, and following any instructions given by the warehouse manager. JOB SUMMARY: Obtain merchandise from bins or shelves. Read orders to ascertain catalog numbers, sizes, colors, and quantities of merchandise. Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors. Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or on a computer. Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise. Mark stock items, using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment. Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished. Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating things. Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources. Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials. Attach identification information to products, items, or containers. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Good communication skills. Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing for long periods. Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations). Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and legs. Supervision received and exercised: Receives supervision from the department manager. The position has formally assigned supervisory responsibility and authority. Must complete jobs without constant supervision. Working Conditions: The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and outdoor environment, with high equipment noise and differing temperatures.
