Job Description

The Maintenance Manager leads all maintenance operations across multiple facilities, ensuring equipment, machinery, and buildings operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. This role oversees maintenance personnel, manages equipment installation and repairs, and drives continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and facility productivity. The Maintenance Manager also develops and maintains robust preventative and predictive maintenance programs while coordinating closely with leadership and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct maintenance personnel across all facilities, providing clear guidance, support, and performance oversight.
• Plan and manage maintenance work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor work quality to ensure efficient and timely completion of all activities.
• Lead the manufacturing engineering function to drive continuous improvement of processes, equipment productivity, and facility performance.
• Ensure proper design, specification, installation, testing, and qualification of new equipment and facility projects.
• Inspect and evaluate facilities, grounds, and related equipment on a regular basis to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and in good working order.
• Coordinate and oversee outside contractors performing equipment installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance on equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Communicate proactively with upper management, supervisors, and lead workers regarding equipment issues, maintenance schedules, resource needs, and operational concerns.
• Purchase, manage, and control inventory of maintenance supplies and plant equipment repair parts for all equipment in all facilities.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive predictive and preventative maintenance program for all applicable equipment and machinery across all facilities.
• Ensure routine calibrations are performed on equipment as required to maintain accuracy, safety, and compliance.
• Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) projects related to equipment and facility improvements, ensuring projects meet technical, budget, and schedule expectations.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to direct reports, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• At least 5 years of industrial maintenance management experience.
• At least 5 years of industrial facilities operations management experience.
• Proven experience managing direct reports in a maintenance or industrial operations environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing capital expenditure (CapEx) projects for equipment and facilities.
• Strong management and leadership skills, with the ability to organize, prioritize, and oversee multiple maintenance activities and teams.
• Solid background in facilities maintenance management, including building systems, grounds, and related infrastructure.
• Industrial maintenance expertise, including troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment and systems.
• Experience with CNC maintenance, including the upkeep and reliability of CNC machinery.
• Ability to develop and manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with upper management, supervisors, lead workers, and external contractors.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on process and equipment productivity improvements.
• Hands-on exposure to equipment installation, testing, and qualification in an industrial setting.
• Strong organizational skills for managing maintenance supplies, spare parts, and repair inventories.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and ensure proper design and installation of equipment and facility projects.
• Comfort working in a structured maintenance environment with defined schedules and on-call responsibilities.

Work Environment

This role operates primarily on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. As a salaried position, you will be expected to flex your hours as needed to meet the requirements of the role, including responding to urgent issues. The position includes on-call responsibilities to support critical equipment and facility needs. The facilities are clean and climate controlled throughout the year, supporting tight tolerances and precision tooling requirements, and providing a comfortable, professional industrial work setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Brookfield, WI.

The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
