Assistant/Associate Professor of Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Location: Harrogate, Tennessee Responsibilities Teach, conduct clinical duties, and engage in scientific scholarship. Lead and facilitate skills labs for residents and students at GME partner institutions, ensuring hands‑on, competency‑based learning experiences. Design and deliver structured procedural training sessions to enhance clinical competencies. Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to faculty, staff, students, and the community. Foster effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students. Establish curriculum, subject matter, and instructional methods, and oversee aspects of student life related to medical education. Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of courses and academic programs within the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. Promote a respectful, inquiry‑oriented environment within DCOM. Maintain intellectual integrity and strive for academic excellence in teaching. Demonstrate professional linguistic expression in writing and speech during clinical service. Prepare and provide outlines, goals, and objectives for each lecture, and conduct lectures, seminars, small‑group discussions, and clinical assignments effectively. Design and present courses or series of integrated lectures and small‑group discussions. Prepare examination questions and grade courses or portions thereof. Meet class schedules according to the published timetable. Work in a professional multicultural environment that fosters diversity. Serve by attending faculty meetings and participating on appointed or elected committees. Collaborate with the Director of Educational Development and Assessment, and with the Dean of Basic Medical Sciences on curricular matters. Work with the department chair to further department and college missions and visions. Complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for operation and advancement of university programs. Provide clinical service, patient care, and bedside teaching for students in clinical settings. Model appropriate professional behavior for learners and colleagues. Participate in clinic quality assurance, service evaluation activities, scholarly activity, and mentoring. Demonstrate and supervise students during clinical educational activities utilizing standardized or volunteer patients. Supervise students in authorized patient‑care events, including health fairs, sports physicals, or community outreach programs. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications D.O./M.D. degree and board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; able to obtain a Tennessee license within the first year of hire. Unrestricted Tennessee license and approved medical professional liability insurance must be maintained throughout employment. Preferred Qualifications Minimum five years of experience in clinical and academic medicine teaching and leadership. Academic rank commensurate with training and experience.
