Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical With Telemetry (MS TELE) Farmington, NM
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Unit providing Medical Surgical With Telemetry (MS TELE) care in Farmington, New Mexico. This role supports adult patients (18 years and older) with clinical needs that may include cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and congestive heart failure (CHF). Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM7:00 AM; 12 shift hours; minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) must be American Heart Association (AHA); education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); specialty experience/competency aligned with Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nursing (med/surg experience preferred); minimum experience: 1 year
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience preferred but not required; oncology skills helpful but not necessary
• Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care for an adult Medical Unit population
  • Manage patients with typical diagnoses including cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and CHF
  • Utilize assigned patient-care equipment, including vital sign (VS) machines, bladder scanner, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, and tube feeding pumps
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Block scheduling may be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Weekend hours: policy recommends all staff work at least 2 weekend shifts per month
  • Patient ratios: 1:5 and 1:6
  • Submission requirements: resume + submission form, area specific competency exam, skills checklist, and screening questions (see attachment)
