Associate Accountant

Daily Schedule 8-4:30 Monday through Friday Pay Range: $16-17/hr Job Description The main function of an accountant is to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. A typical accountant is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients. Job Responsibilities: Prepare, examine or analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems. Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements. Purpose of this team The person will be helping to provide costing support, financial analysis, capital asset assistance, journal entries, reconciliations, and general legal entity support. Why this Role? General accounting experience, including reconciliation, journal entries, analysis, supporting accounts payable. Typical task breakdown: Costing support, asset audit management, compliance support, reconciliations, journal entries, and miscellaneous legal entity support. Interaction with team: - Daily interaction with local team Team Structure Manager and 3 Staff Accountants Work environment: Cubicle office environment
