Division Chief, Pediatric Emergency Medicine

Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, seeks a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Division Chief to both teach and practice in the Department of Emergency Medicine, University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. Successful candidates should be prepared to shape the future Emergency Medicine Residency Program, develop a strong Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and contribute to the academic output of the Division and Department as a whole.

Our Department of Emergency Medicine provides episodic care to more than 450,000 patients annually across seven emergency departments. The Prisma Health Department of Emergency Medicine boasts more board-certified Emergency physicians and subspecialty fellowship trained Emergency Physicians than any other Department in the state, and the Upstate's only Emergency Medicine residency program (PGY 1-3, accepting 10 residents per year). The pediatric emergency department is currently staffed by Board certified EM, Peds/EM, and fellowship trained PEM physicians.

Requirements:

• Board certification in appropriate specialty/subspecialty (ABEM or ABP or ABOEM)
• Active clinical practice of pediatric emergency medicine
