• Experience: Minimum 2 years ICU/Telemetry RN experience; first-time travelers must have 2 years of recent acute care RN experience and be separated for 1 year if previously employed as a perm staff

What You'll Do

• Provide skilled nursing care to telemetry and general medical-surgical patients
• Monitor patient vital signs, EKGs, and other cardiac rhythms
• Manage wound care, JP drains, wound vacs, and Hemodialysis Catheter care
• Support advanced interventions such as PCA, pain management, and IV therapy
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT, PT, OT, and hospitalists
• Follow protocols for sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, and PNA
• Complete thorough documentation in the EMR (Meditech Expanse)

What You Need

• Valid Louisiana RN license
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• At least 2 years of recent RN experience in acute care, ICU, or telemetry
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Strong wound care skills and knowledge of invasive devices (PICC, Fistulas)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
