Inform guests of specials and menu changes.Make specific recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in POS before taking items to the table.Communicate customer needs and requests effectively to HOH.Garnish bar drinks as appropriate, properly open and pour wine tableside. Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner. Pre-bus tables between each coursePerform side work during each shift as required by service station assignment. Complete opening and closing checklists.Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas.Monitor & observe guests dining experience to ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service.Respond promptly and courteously to any requests. Provide proactive beverage refills.Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and process through the POS system. Return change to the guest quickly.Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers before they ask. Thank the guests for their visit and invite them to return.Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement. Notify the manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience.Prepares dining room/section for service (sets tables, condiments, candles, silverware, sanitizes tables-chairs-floors, etc.)Assists guests with selections of food & beverage, makes suggestions, describes chef's specials/chalkboards, identifies appropriate beverage parings, and answers food preparation questions.Provides a unique and special experience to each guest, every time.
