Laboratory Technician - Alger, Michigan

Seeking skilled professionals to join a dynamic laboratory team, working as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) on a contract assignment. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced clinical environment, supporting essential diagnostic and testing services.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts
- 7 on, 7 off alternating with 4 shifts of 10 hours (8:00 PM - 6:30 AM) followed by 3 shifts of 12 hours (8:00 PM - 8:30 AM)
- 36-hour weekly guarantee
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Current certification or eligibility as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality control, and regulatory standards
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication abilities to report and document laboratory findings
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests aligned with medical protocols
- Accurately process specimens and deliver precise test results within set timeframes
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure efficient operation
- Monitor and adhere to quality assurance and safety measures
- Record data and prepare reports for review by laboratory supervisors and healthcare providers
- Collaborate with clinicians and support staff to deliver reliable diagnostic services
