Snapshot / Role Overview

We're looking for an HVAC Service Manager in the Sacramento area to lead field operations, develop technicians, and own the financial health of a commercial service department.

Impact

Keep technicians productive and customers inside their service commitments.
Lift service quality through hands-on leadership in the field.
Own the service P&L: revenue, margin, and inventory.
Grow the department through proposals and maintenance contracts.

Responsibilities

Run service operations, dispatch, scheduling, and job priority.
Hire, train, and mentor technicians on troubleshooting, safety, and customer service.
Track response time, first-time fix, and callbacks, and improve them.
Visit sites, resolve escalations, and quote repairs and replacements.
Manage the service budget and forecast revenue.
Enforce QA/QC and refrigerant compliance.
Keep field service software accurate and manage parts and vendors.
Lead toolbox talks, performance reviews, and on-call rotations.

Must-Haves

Seven or more years in commercial HVAC service, with time leading technicians.
P&L responsibility for a service operation.
Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and refrigerant regulations.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience selling maintenance agreements.
CMMS or field service software administration.

Compensation and Logistics

Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Onsite in the Sacramento area.
