Are you passionate about science and want to instill a love of science in your students? We are seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic 7th Grade Science Teacher to join our dynamic 7th grade team at Mount View Middle School for the FY27 school year . As part of a four-person team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will have your own fully equipped science lab classroom, which will allow many opportunities for exciting, hands-on learning for your students. You will be able to concentrate on science as your only content area, and build your own program based on RSU3's established science curriculum.

Responsibilities will include developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, utilizing the science lab to conduct experiments and demonstrations, regularly assessing students to assess progress and differentiate instruction to accomodate diverse needs and abilities, collaborating with colleagues, and communicating effectively with students, families, and staff.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working with middle school students,
• Excellent classroom management, and
• An understanding of the needs of diverse learners.

Requires CHRC and Maine State Certification in one of the following -- 020 (K-8), 340 (Middle Level Science), or 350 (Secondary 6-12 Physical Science)
