Job Title: Forklift Operator (Temp-to-Hire)
Job Description
Need a forklift operator who can operate a sit down or stand up forkift
Brand new warehouse lots of overtime both 1st or 2nd shift
Responsibilities

• Utilize forklift to unload and load trucks
• Move material to locations needed
• Use an iPhone-based RF scanner to pick, pack, and manage inventory for orders.
• Pick and pack products safely and efficiently according to order requirements.
• Put away skids and materials using a pallet jack and maintain organized storage areas.
• Lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks

Work Environment
The warehouse operates multiple shifts, including a 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and a 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with overtime that may be mandatory when business needs require it. The facility is a clean, lean manufacturing and warehouse environment, with operations split into distinct departments. The role is based in a new offsite warehouse that supports cable solutions production. The building is climate-controlled, providing a comfortable working temperature year-round. Team members use pallet jacks, iPhone-based RF scanners, and standard warehouse equipment to perform daily tasks. An on-site cafeteria offers subsidized food options, along with refrigerators and microwaves for those who bring meals from home. Protective footwear such as steel-toe or composite-toe shoes is required while working in the warehouse.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
