We're currently looking for a Billing Lead to join our Revenue Cycle teama critical role that ensures billing accuracy and supports the day-to-day operations of our billing department.

As the Billing Lead, you'll split your time between hands-on billing work (80%) and team support functions (20%). You'll work closely with the Billing Manager and/or Supervisor to oversee billing workflows, assist with training, and ensure high-quality outcomes across the team.

Schedule: Mon-Thurs - 8:00am-5:00pm Friday - 8:00am - 2:00pm

Location: West Chester, PA

Responsibilities

1. Submit daily insurance claims and follow up on outstanding accounts

2. Conduct accounts receivable (A/R) follow-up

3. Ensure timely processing of patient statements, refunds, and collection submissions

4. Monitor opportunities to collect co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance at the time of service

5. Enter clear and concise notes in the billing system for tracking purposes

6. Act as the first point of contact for billing team questions and support

7. Train and mentor new and existing billing staff

8. Assist in distributing workloads and reviewing staff workflows

9. Review and approve adjustments and patient refunds

10. Support follow-up on insurance and patient balances

11. Assist with month-end closing procedures

12. Collaborate with leadership on process improvement and special projects

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED required

• Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree preferred

• Previous Healthcare billing and/or Healthcare accounts receivable work experience a plus.

• Highly organized, detail-orientated, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated teamwork skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent data entry and math skills

• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities daily in order to complete all assignments timely and accurately

• Computer literacy skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

• Service-oriented/customer-centric
