Job Title: General Laborer – Manufacturing

A leading manufacturing company is hiring General Laborers to support daily production operations. This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys hands‑on work, staying active, and learning new skills. No manufacturing experience required — training provided .

You’ll help keep production running smoothly by performing material handling, housekeeping, packaging, and machine‑assistant tasks. As you learn the facility, you’ll receive training on production equipment and machine operation, with opportunities to grow into skilled roles.

• Support production lines and assist operators throughout the shift
• Learn machine operation and help with equipment setup/changeovers
• Package products and prepare finished goods for shipment
• Move materials throughout the facility
• Perform housekeeping around machinery and production areas
• Sweep and clean to maintain a safe workspace
• Load and unload raw materials and finished products
• Conduct basic quality checks on products
• Follow safety procedures and production instructions
• Assist other departments when needed

• General labor experience in manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or similar environments
• Ability to lift 65+ lbs repeatedly
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operation
• Ability to work safely around machinery
• Comfortable with housekeeping and cleanup tasks
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for a 10‑hour shift
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Willingness to help wherever needed

Industrial manufacturing facility with indoor/outdoor work. Fast‑paced, physical role with heavy lifting. Exposure to dust, noise, and machinery. PPE required. Safety is a top priority.

This is a Contract position based out of Chesapeake, VA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
