Campus Cleaning JobResponsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the campus and ensuring that visitors, residents, families, and staff have a positive impression. Additional duties include cleaning of common areas, project cleaning and seasonal cleaning duties as assigned. Weekly cleaning & laundry in resident's rooms.Job Responsibilities and Duties:Provide consistent & quality work to the residents and staffMaintain a clean and orderly work area and cleaning cartFollow job routines and instructions according to the assigned housekeeping schedule.Assure resident apartment and laundry are clean and sanitized as scheduled.Maintain inventory for daily needs & notify supervisor of supply issuesAssist in keeping all common areas neat, clean and safe.Follow the daily schedule to ensure all tasks are accomplished in a timely manner.Cleaning duties includes but not limited to:Vacuuming hallways, elevators and furnitureWashing inside glass doors and windowsSweeping and/or mopping floorsCleaning and stocking supplies in restroomDustingRubbish/trash removalWashing / polishing woodwork and baseboardsSeasonal duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum 1 year housekeeping/cleaning experienceAble to make responsible choices and decisions, and act in the resident's best interest.Ability to motivate oneself and work independentlyAbility to be flexible and to work with other staff and residentsKnowledge of cleaning chemicalsGood work ethicMaintains confidentialityAble to read, write, spell, do basic math, speak and understand English.Physical Requirements (based on essential responsibilities): Must be able to frequently perform tasks such as, but not limited to, those listed below:Bend and squat to the floor to pick up debris, trash containers, and to use cleaning tools and products, etc.See objects within 35 feet to monitor work areas, i.e., determine areas that are in need of cleaningAble to interpret colors to read warnings, labels, wires, etc.Must be able to continuously perform tasks such as, but not limited to, those listed below:Move, push, pull and/or lift objects weighing 10 to 25 pounds.Use hands and arms for simple grasping, pushing and pulling to sweep, mop, use containers of cleaning solution/chemicals, etc.Perform tasks requiring actions of muscles or groups of muscles to walk, stoop, bend, lift, and to carry objectsWalk and/or stand for prolonged periods of timeSpeak clearly and make self understood in face-to-face interactionsSee objects closely to read directions, instructions, chemical warnings, etc.Hear normal sounds and voices with some background noise to receive verbal instructions, answer telephones, communicate with others, etc.Environment: Works indoors in a climate-controlled environment majority of the time.Working Hours: Shifts are generally assigned but the employee must have the ability to work various shifts, weekends, holidays, evenings and/or overnights.General Notes:This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive; additional details will be specified by the supervisor.The employee will also perform other reasonable business duties as assigned by the supervisor.Management reserves the right to change job responsibilities, duties and hours as needs prevail.Gentle Touch Health Initiatives is an at-will employer.
