Litigation Associate

The Litigation Associate is an experienced litigator with a strong background in business and commercial legal matters, and excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Position Overview
A well-established Honolulu-based law firm serving a diverse client base, from large national corporations to local businesses and individuals, seeks a Litigation Associate to support its expanding practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex business, commercial, and financial matters in a collaborative environment, with exposure to high-profile cases and a strong emphasis on professional development and client service.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients across all stages of civil litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate matters
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis and recommendations
- Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Collaborate with attorneys on complex legal matters and case strategies
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Skills
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to high-quality client service
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Hawaii
- 2 to 5+ years of litigation experience preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and ethical standards
