USCG Licensed Captain

Alaska Travel Adventures is currently hiring outgoing, highly motivated people for summer employment (April-October) in Alaska. We are Alaska’s leading operator of active tour programs and have been offering quality excursions since 1978! Captains shall perform all duties associated with the position of USCG Licensed Captain and the operation of company vessels. You will supervise deckhands. You should be in good physical condition and prepared to work in inclement weather. Current CPR/First Aid certification, Minimum USCG 25 Ton License, FCC Radio Operators License, pre-employment drug testing and enrollment in a random testing pool required. Responsibilities Providing pre-trip safety briefing for the guests & operation of a safe tour Accurate completion of administrative paperwork, vessel & maintenance logs Understanding and compliance with company safety & operational policies and adherence to applicable permits, laws and regulations Daily cleaning and maintenance of equipment & vessel to a standard compliant with US Coast Guard criteria Learning the information necessary to deliver an entertaining and informed narrative during the tour including flora, fauna, and natural history of the area Creating a positive, professional culture and work environment Understanding and compliance with company safety & operational policies Job Type: Full-time #J-18808-Ljbffr CoolWorks.com - Jobs in Great Places
