Work Environment

The work environment is onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located within a hospital, allowing access to cutting-edge medical equipment and technology. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, serving a friendly and supportive community of colleagues who are passionate about patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed and directed by the supervising Physical Therapist, aiding patients through personalized rehabilitation exercises and therapy techniques.
• Monitor and update patient progress by recording treatment sessions and outcomes, ensuring accurate documentation that informs ongoing therapy adjustments.
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all rehabilitation equipment is properly utilized and sanitized between patients.
• Assist the administrative team with scheduling duties and necessary clerical support to optimize clinic operations.
• Conduct initial assessments to evaluate functional movement, balance, and coordination, providing critical insights to enhance treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily interact with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, traumatic injuries, and chronic pain conditions. The clinic serves a diverse population, focusing on individualized treatment strategies that cater to each patient's unique recovery journey, ultimately guiding them towards their personal health and fitness goals.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting, backed by an active PTA license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of two years of direct outpatient experience is preferred, especially in orthopedic settings.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, with preference given to candidates experienced with WebPT.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques, exhibiting strong communication skills and a talent for fostering positive patient interactions.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates who bring additional qualifications such as specialties in sports rehabilitation, post-operative care, or advanced certifications in manual therapy may have a competitive edge. Comfort with assessment technologies and patient management software would be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time position is between USD 60,000 to 70,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
