Communications Coordinator
The Dolores Huerta Foundation is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support digital communications, media relations, and development communications. This role plays a key part in advancing DHF's organizing, advocacy, and fundraising efforts through coordinated messaging, media engagement, and digital outreach.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate social media, email, and website content and campaigns
- Serve as the initial point of contact for media inquiries and interview requests
- Prioritize and coordinate approved interviews and communicate professional rejections as needed
- Build and maintain email campaigns and digital content calendars
- Support CRM maintenance, segmentation, and data integrity
- Assist with donor and fundraising communications
- Create and edit multimedia content, including short-form video
- Track and report on digital engagement and campaign performance
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in communications, digital media, or nonprofit communications
- Strong writing, organizational, and time-management skills
- Experience with email platforms, social media, and CRM systems
- Familiarity with media relations workflows
- Basic video editing and design skills preferred
- Commitment to social justice and community-based work
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Compensation $24.00 $30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
