In this role you will work alongside a well-established group of two Total Joint Arthroplasty Orthopedic Surgeons and three APPs managing patients in the clinic, the hospital, and as first assist in the operating room (OR) as needed.In this role, you will:Provide clinical care at Intermountain Health St. George Hospital and the Southwest Ortho ClinicWork full time (40 hours/week)Participate in a rotating call schedule shared with another APP, including:Treating post-operative patients in clinicFirst assist in the ORRounding on hospital inpatients as neededCollaborate closely with physicians and care team members in a multidisciplinary, team-oriented environment focused on high-quality patient careTargeted start date January 2027, with flexibility based on candidate availability and earlier start opportunities potentially availableHow we'll support youWe care about your well-being which is why we provide our caregivers a generous benefits package. To help accommodate the rapid growth, St. George Regional Medical Center is a level II trauma center, recently expanding to 336 inpatient beds, has more than 320 physicians on staff, serves southern Utah, northern Arizona, and Nevada.Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
