This role is a key role for our Charleston, SC branch as you will be the hands-on support for the people side of our business. As the HR Generalist, you will be the trusted HR liaison for the field and office by providing guidance throughout the life cycle of the employee (onboarding, training support, leave administration, employee relations, HR compliance, recruiting support, and more).What We're Looking For:Trusted Partner. As part of our greater People Services (HR) team, you will help to locally administer leaves, navigate policies, and keep accurate employment records. Your career is a journey, let's enjoy the ride together.Key Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in human resources, employment law, or other related fieldMinimum 3 years of progressive HR experience with a strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices; construction, manufacturing, or other field-based industries - strongly preferredWork in-person either in the office or conducting site visits (construction)Able to travel regionally and to Michigan (10%)Able to work additional hours, including occasional evenings or overtime, as business and employee needs ariseSafety Awareness – Ability to wear required PPE and navigate active construction sites (indoors and outdoors)Technical skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and HRIS experienceRelationship driven – able to build trust and credibility with employees at every level and be a strong, active team member with your local and Michigan based teamsEffective communication – written, oral, presentation, and interpersonalTime Management – You are self-motivated with a sense of urgency, and able to access priorities to meet deadlinesBilingual fluency in English and Spanish – preferredWe offer generous benefits, competitive compensation, paid time off, training and development, the opportunity for growth, a safe work environment, and the chance to work with a winning team in a great company culture.
