Job Description

Responsible for greeting guests at the door. The host/hostess seats and presents clean menus to guests in a friendly, professional and quick manner. Primary Functions: Establish and maintain standards of a 5 star service. Greet and seat guests, present menus to guests, inform them of daily specials. Specific Accountabilities: Welcome guests in a proper manner. Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies. Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus; announce waiter's name. Inform Guest of current promotion. Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service. Treat all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed guests' expectations. Take names on a waiting list. Manage the flow of Guests into the Dining and Bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming Guests if appropriate. Observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty and occupied tables. Take guest information and quote wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available. Clean, organize and stock menus at host area. Answer phone and answer questions concerning the menu and restaurant. Interact with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience. Fill to-go orders, if applicable. Tend to special Guest needs and requests. Help dining room staff by setting and clearing tables; replenishing water; serving beverages. Issue dining charges by verifying orders; calculating taxes; totaling bill for to-go orders. Receive payments by validating credit charges; approving checks; accepting currency; calculating and issuing change for to-go orders. Fill in for absent staff as needed. Assist with special events as needed. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Perform other duties as requested by Management.

Qualifications

• 18 years old or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer Service Skills.

• English language fluency both speaking and writing.
• Computer literacy.
• Positive Attitude and personable demeanor.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to function in a noisy, hectic and crowed environment.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.

• Responsible & trustworthy.
• Neat and clean appearance.
• Stamina: you will spend the majority of time on your feet and will have to lift heavy objects.
• Flexible to work schedules to include morning/evenings/night, as well as weekends and holidays.
• Being a team player and ability to successfully pass on information from one team member to another.
