Registered Nurse - Health Educator Lead

Registered Nurse – Health Educator Lead Position located at Naval Medical Center San Diego, California. This full‑time role requires working Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend coverage as needed. The position offers a salary range of $35–$45 per hour. Responsibilities Work full‑time Monday through Friday, 0600–2100 hours, normally 8.5–9 hour shifts with an uncompensated 30–60 minute lunch break. Provide on‑call services Saturday or Sunday, 0700–1300 for a 5.5 hour shift when required. Be scheduled for shifts up to 11.5–12 hours (including a 60 minute uncompensated break) to meet department needs. Not exceed 80 hours of work per two‑week period. Provide care to military personnel. Qualifications Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Promotion, Education, Community/Public Health or Wellness, or a related health science field from an accredited university. At least four years of full‑time experience as a health educator in health promotion and wellness campaigns (tobacco/nicotine cessation, diabetes prevention/management, weight management, stress management, sleep psychoeducation, nutrition, exercise, heart health, or disease management/prevention). Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Current, active, unrestricted nursing license to practice in any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands.
