Job Summary


Our client is seeking a Central Scheduler responsible for handling scheduling requests and customer service inquiries. The role involves managing inbound and outbound calls, processing electronic scheduling requests, and ensuring accurate registration and insurance verification. The objective is to facilitate smooth and efficient appointment scheduling in a call center environment.


Key Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume inbound phone calls from patients, providers, and physician offices.
• Process SMS, electronic scheduling requests, and web-based appointment requests.
• Schedule appointments across all designated locations.
• Complete outbound calls as necessary and assist with appointment cancellations and rescheduling.
• Communicate appointment preparation requirements and special instructions.
• Complete patient registration accurately and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Perform real-time insurance eligibility verification and maintain patient accounts for medical and financial eligibility.
• Discuss patient financial responsibility and collect pre-service payments when applicable.
• Support departmental revenue cycle initiatives and ensure compliance with insurance and registration requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of professional experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Basic computer proficiency and adaptability to changing workflows.

Additional Requirements

• Schedule: Monday - Friday | 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
• Training Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (for the first 3-4 weeks).
