Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department Job Type: Full Time | Mid‑Shift Schedule: 3×12s, mid‑shift (3p–3a). Holidays and weekends required. Sign‑On Bonus: $20,000 for Night Shift with a 2‑year commitment for eligible candidates. About the Team Join a dynamic 17‑bed Emergency Department with a 1:4 nurse‑to‑patient ratio. The team includes RNs, CNAs, paramedics, secretaries, and providers, working together to deliver high quality care. The department handles a wide variety of patient presentations, including abdominal pain, shortness of breath, and chest pain, with an average daily volume of about 74 patients. Responsibilities Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs. Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions. Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient. Perform timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record. Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient. Perform timely and accurate QI assessments. Qualifications Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license. Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire. AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire. One year of experience preferred. Strong critical‑thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
