About This Role The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to providing effective direct care and coordinating patient care among interdisciplinary teams. Highlights Location: Perth Amboy, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Per Diem, Night shift What You'll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions. Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care. Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology. Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Identify ethical issues in the practice setting and address them. Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses. Requirements Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire. Experience: Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program. Licenses & Certifications: Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey. BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
