Join our team and bring your best self to the table.What you will be doingAs a Maintenance Technician you will be ensuring the operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic equipment and completing preventative maintenance. You prioritize the safety of yourself, your coworkers, and the company.Our Maintenance Technicians are self-motivated and work with a sense of urgency. You work closely with Operations and the site's many teams to increase mechanical uptime which is an integral part of the building process to produce high-quality breads, buns, and rolls for customers all throughout Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. You are helping to keep food moving quickly to our stores and communities. If you're ready to make a difference, let's talk!Main responsibilities:As a part of a Union environment, our team is looking for an individual that can be flexible during their probationary period. Specifically, with scheduling, you may be asked to work nights, weekends, or holidays, with appropriate notice. You may be asked to function within multiple areas of the plant. Here is a list of most of the responsibilities that may be asked of you:Observes all company safety policies and procedures as well as maintain good housekeeping, GMP and Global Food Safety practicesChangeover, repair and troubleshoot all plant production equipmentSupport of equipment installation, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specificationsIdentification of complex problems with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic issues on all associated equipment (conveyors, compressors, chillers, programmable controllers, robots); review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutionsAble to understand and complete Preventative Maintenance based on Preventative Maintenance schedulesUnderstanding of machine processing and recipe managementPerform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is neededIdentification of the appropriate tools and equipment needed to complete the jobResponsive to maintenance requests in a timely manner and complete maintenance reports as requiredMaintain plant equipment to ensure maximum efficiencyAbility to work with vendors and/or contractors as requiredEnsure spare parts or services are ordered as requiredMake required changes or adjustments as requiredImplement operational improvements (spoilage, downtime, line speeds, etc.)Train others to operate equipment and produce products safely and efficientlyMaintain organization of spare partsMaintain a clean and organized work areaPerform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisorComplete special projects and duties as assignedContinuously monitor and physically inspect production equipmentDiagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them- checking blueprints- repair manuals- or parts catalogs- as necessaryDismantle and reassemble machines to fit or replace necessary partsConduct electrical repairs (i.e., wiring)Rebuild/ fabrication of equipmentWelding stainless steel (tubing, rods), black iron and other related materialsComplete work ordersMaintain logs and recordsComply with all Integrated Management System policies and proceduresInvestigates electrical and instrument equipment failures and develops action plans to eliminate repetitive failuresWeld- perform sheet metal work and fabrication.
