AkamCare Health in Corona, CA is looking for one medical assistant to join our 4 person strong team. We are located on 2815 S. Main St. Suite 200. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

• Take patient vitals and room for provider
• Organize exam and treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Complete basic routine medical procedures
• Record accurate patient documentation through EMR System
• Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies
• Insurance Verification; working knowledge of PPO, HMO, Medicare, Medicaid and Workers Compensation
• Assist Back Office Tasks as assigned
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Medical Assistant Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program.
• 1 Year or more of solid work experience working in a medical field; pain management experience preferred, but not required
• Familiarity working with medical equipment
• High attention to accuracy and detail with exceptional organizational skills
• Bilingual; preferred but not required
• Call Center Experience
• WPM: 45+
