Full-time | Field-based | Colorado & Wyoming

Kran is Northern Colorado’s crane rental and heavy haul company ( From our La Salle yard we run 50–250 ton mobile cranes and a heavy-haul tractor fleet across Denver Metro, Fort Collins, Greeley, Colorado Springs, and Wyoming.

We are hiring a Rigger. No experience required — we will train. We also want people with a Class A CDL who can rig and/or drive a semi.

Two tracks — say which one you want

Track A — Rigger (will train)

No crane experience needed. You will learn slings, shackles, hitches, tag lines, mats/outriggers, and standard crane hand signals. We will train you toward NCCCO Rigger I and Signalperson if you show up and do the work.

Track B — Rigger / CDL Driver (preferred)

Valid Class A CDL. You rig on crane jobs and/or pull lowboys and specialized trailers with our Kenworth fleet. Dual-skilled people are paid in a higher band. This is not a sit-in-the-truck-only job.

What you will do

• Inspect slings, shackles, hooks, and rigging before every use. Tag out anything that fails.
• Attach rigging, use tag lines, and control the load through the pick.
• Give clear hand and radio signals. If something looks wrong, stop the lift.
• Help set up and tear down: mats, outriggers, cribbing, and site walk-down.
• Keep the fall zone clear and follow the lift plan.
• Yard work: load/unload, organize rigging, wash and fuel equipment.
• Track B: drive Class A combinations, inspect truck and trailer, secure loads, run permitted oversized/overweight moves.
• Early starts, weather, and occasional night, weekend, or emergency call-outs.

Requirements — both tracks

• 18 or older with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to La Salle or Denver staging
• Able to pass a drug screen, background check, and Kran’s safety screening
• Able to work outdoors in Colorado weather, stand for long periods, climb on equipment, and regularly lift 50+ lbs
• Willing to travel daily across Northern Colorado, the Front Range, and into Wyoming
• Can take direction, speak up about hazards, and work on a small crew
• No experience required for Track A. Construction, ranch, shop, military, or warehouse work is a plus

Requirements — Track B only

• Valid Class A CDL and acceptable MVR
• Able to meet DOT medical-card requirements
• Willing to both drive and work on the ground as a rigger
• Tractor-trailer or heavy-haul/lowboy experience preferred

Preferred, not required

• NCCCO Rigger I or II, NCCCO Signalperson, OSHA 10/30
• Crane rental, ironwork, millwright, oilfield, or heavy-haul experience
• Manual transmission and extra CDL endorsements
