Tool & Die Maker

We're currently seeking a passionate and skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality, engineered solutions to our customers worldwide. In this role you will be responsible for building, maintaining and troubleshooting Progressive Dies, fixtures, jigs, inspection gages used in the manufacturing process of metal stamping, assembly and automation.

Responsibilities

• Building, repair and maintain stamping tools, per design requirements.
• Modify existing tooling per customer changes and requirements.
• Knowledge and ability to perform rebuilds, sharpen and repair blanking dies.
• Ability to troubleshoot press and die problems.
• Perform changeovers on multiple part tooling.
• Ability to train other team members
• Reporting daily time entry with description of work performed.
• Advising and reporting usage of spare tooling components and shop supplies.
• Other duties as deemed necessary

Requirements

• Computer skills is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to work from verbal and written instructions.
• Team oriented
• Self-motivated
• TMA certificate or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years' experience
• Knowledge and operation of all tool room equipment safely and efficiently
• Knowledge of proper die build procedures
• Knowledge of punch press equipment and metal forming processes

This position is at our Elk Grove Village, IL location.

Pay Range: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
