Principal Linux Administrator- Will sposnor a clearance!

Responsibilities Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment. Lead and coordinate Red Hat installation and configuration. Responsible for provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to Linux/Windows infrastructure for classified programs. Tasks include: Server management (software and hardware); storage management (logical and physical); cross‑platform authentication and access management; data backup and restoration; software and license configuration; workstation support. Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, AD, replication). Troubleshoot hardware and OS integration issues. Understand RAID and backup technologies. Install and configure software applications requested by end users. Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements, provide documentation, training on advanced IT processes and procedures. Work overtime for 24x7 operations; occasional out‑of‑hours effort. Travel up to 5%. Qualifications Required Minimum bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience or master’s degree and 3 years of prior relevant experience. U.S. citizenship; transferable U.S. government issued secret clearance prior to start date. Linux experience; experience in Active Directory, VMware, MySQL, networking administration. Must obtain CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent within 6 months. Ability to maintain 24x7 systems; travel 5%. Preferred Windows experience. VMware highly desired. DoD TS/SCI clearance; DoDD 8140/8570 certification. Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF. In‑depth Windows Server experience; data storage, NAS, SAN. Project lifecycle management; VMWare vCenter, vSphere, ESX. Support engineers in software, simulations, hardware development. Microsoft WSUS, SMECP, Exchange scripting. Benefits Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 per year.
