Healthcare Quality Specialist / SME Healthcare Quality SpecialistLocation: East Hartford, CT Duration: 3-Month Contract to Hire Pay Rate: $22.40/hr (W2)Job Summary: Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Specialist conducts quality reviews across multiple functional areas to ensure compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement. This role identifies trends, supports corrective actions, and maintains quality scores of 96% or higher while meeting productivity standards.Key Responsibilities:Perform objective and concise quality assessments across all functional areas.Track trends, identify issues, and recommend process improvements.Maintain quality metrics (96%+ score; <5% approved challenge rate).Update quality monitoring systems and track corrective actions.Support implementation of quality controls and assurance practices.Assist with administrative tasks and cross-departmental support as needed.Qualifications:College degree preferred.Experience in government services, public sector healthcare, Medicaid, or CHIP preferred.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with high confidentiality.Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; typing speed of 30 WPM required.Bilingual skills a plus.Work Environment: Office-based, fast-paced environment with occasional overtime, including evenings and weekends.
