Lifeguard

Job Description We are looking for lifeguard candidates who are available to work varied hours between 5:15 AM to noon and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Lifeguards will be supervising indoor pools and ensuring safety for all swimmers. The position is part‑time, with hours ranging from mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. This role requires a high‑energy applicant who can maintain a safe and enjoyable environment, assist swimmers, respond to emergencies, and provide excellent customer service. Pay $16.40 – $20.90 per hour Training & Certification Free Lifeguard Training Course for all qualified candidates Reimbursement of course fees (excluding $40 certification fee) after completing 75 hours of work Availability Minimum 10‑15 hours per week during fall, winter, and spring; 15‑20 hours per week during summer. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts is required. Ideal Candidate Will have previous aquatics/lifeguarding experience Possess a professional and welcoming demeanor Will be able to communicate effectively with the public and other team members Can work independently Has the ability to swim to safety with a full‑grown adult and remain calm in emergencies Can follow and enforce all pool standards and rules Flexibility to work a variety of shifts Minimum Qualifications Must be at least fifteen (15) years of age at the time of application Current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding at time of hire Must successfully pass the District Water tests The job description above covers the main duties of this position.
