Air Reserve Technician Section Small Shop Chief
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Section Small Shop Chief no more than 25% of the time over journeyman mechanics and to train reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.
- Performs small shop duties over the journey-level mechanics in the section no more than 25% of the time. Modifies and adjusts parts, components, accessories, etc, on assigned aircraft.
- Performs work related to troubleshooting malfunctioning engines. Performs tasks involving the disassembly of aircraft engines, engine assemblies, and/or accessories.
- Certifies work produced under the USAF Technical Order Program. Controls tools.
- Removes or installs entire propulsion systems from/on aircraft working as a member or leader of an engine change team.
- Utilizes safety practices and procedures and complies with security regulations, directives, and policies. Cleans work area and equipment.
