Registered Nurse - Med Surg | Travel assignment in Dundee, KS | Start date: 10/04/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks | Weekly pay: $1,888–$1,993 per week | Guaranteed hours: 0.0 | Shift: 3x12 Days | Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,888–$1,993 per week Guaranteed hours: 0.0 Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour Day shifts Start date: 10/04/2026 Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital, Med-Surg Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients, including assessments, interventions, and ongoing monitoring Administer medications, IV therapies, and comprehensive treatments per care plans; monitor for adverse effects Document care in the medical record and communicate changes in patient status to the care team Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other disciplines to coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges Promote patient safety, comfort, and infection control; provide patient and family education Participate in rounds, coordinate care transitions, and support a positive patient experience Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in Kansas or a compactlicensing state BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) Minimum 1 year of hospital medical-surgical experience Ability to float within scope to ED as needed Weekend requirements: 2 weekends per month; On-call: 1 shift per month Orientation: Monday virtual orientation, weekly Benefits and Support Bi-weekly pay 8-hour no-bill orientation Virtual orientation scheduled weekly Local candidates accepted with potential to convert to permanent after the first contract Nicotine-free facility Dedicated account manager and travel support throughout the assignment About Healthforce Healthforce is a nationwide travel healthcare staffing agency connecting travel nurses and allied health professionals with high-quality contract assignments across the United States.
