Job Title

Travel RN – Labor and Delivery

Location

Kingwood, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit, including antepartum, labor, OBED, and PACU settings
• Perform and assist with sterile vaginal exams, FSE/IUPC placement, NSTs, and circulating for Cesarean sections
• Manage Oxytocin induction/augmentation and Magnesium Sulfate therapy for preeclampsia and fetal neuroprotection
• Perform insulin drip titration as needed
• Utilize EMR systems (Meditech, GE CPN Centricity) for documentation and patient management
• Adhere to unit scheduling commitments, attendance policy, and float to the Antepartum Unit (APU) as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 complete years of Labor and Delivery (LDU) experience, off of orientation
• Active RN license valid in Texas (or compact license eligibility)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification from AAP required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Transition Care Nursing (TCN) experience for neonates is a plus
• Flexible and adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced Labor and Delivery environment
• Familiarity with bedside ultrasounds, dopplers, fetal monitors, infant warmers, and OR equipment
