Endoscopy Technician

Full-Time Endoscopy Technician needed for our Lowcountry Endoscopy Center. This individual will be required to float through three areas. In the procedure room, he/she is responsible for preparing the procedure room in a timely manner and assisting the physician with endoscopic procedures. As circulator, the Endoscopy Technician will assist the procedure room tech with documentation of pathology specimens and assist with room turnaround. In the decontamination room, the Endoscopy Technician is responsible for the high-level disinfection of endoscopic scopes/equipment. In addition, the position requires unloading supplies, scanning of documents into EMR, and other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Nursing or charge nurse. The position is Monday - Friday, 6:45 am - 3:15 pm.

• Minimum one year of healthcare experience or graduation from a medical assisting/surgical technician program preferred.
• BLS certification preferred
• Must have knowledge of medical terminology
• Must be detail oriented
• Must be able to communicate effectively
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be flexible
• Must be Certified Medical Assistant
