Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
The ICU RN provides specialized critical care nursing services to patients in the intensive care unit, ensuring their safety and well-being through expert assessment and intervention. This role involves direct patient care, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' conditions and develop personalized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage hemodynamic parameters in accordance with best practices.
• Respond swiftly and accurately to changes in patient conditions, including abnormal diagnostic results and symptoms.
• Educate patients and their families about care procedures, treatment plans, and recovery processes.
• Document patient information accurately and communicate clinical updates to physicians and staff.
• Supervise and guide nursing staff and auxiliaries to maintain high standards of care within the ICU.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active and valid state RN license.
• Maintain current BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Possess current ACLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Have at least one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care or critical care setting.
• Be flexible to float to units of competency as needed.
• COVID vaccination is preferred.
