Desired qualifications:

• Valid licensure as a Social Worker (LCSW or MSW) in Illinois preferred
• Prior experience in a K-12 school setting
• Strong knowledge of child/adolescent development and educational systems
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to provide crisis intervention, counseling, and behavioral support
• Collaborative spirit for working with educators, families, and outside agencies

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for students
• Develop and implement intervention strategies that address students’ academic and emotional needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
• Assist with crisis response, conflict resolution, and connecting families to community resources
• Maintain accurate records and documentation according to school policies
• Engage in proactive efforts to cultivate a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
