Mold Maker

New Tech Global is looking for a Mold Maker for a client in Northvale, NJ.

The Mold Maker in the NJ plant is responsible for creating and maintaining molds and equipment to support production. This person will have in-depth knowledge of metalwork and engineering, a good eye for detail, and the ability to visualize structural components. They will also translate ideas into expertly crafted metal forms ready for the manufacturing process.


Main Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and material requirements to determine optimal design and production methods.
• Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production personnel to ensure quality and functionality of molds.
• Design and create precision molds, and fixtures.
• Use precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and gauge blocks, to measure and inspect finished molds.
• Maintain accurate records of mold design, production, and performance.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and production standards.
• Troubleshoot issues with molds and recommend repairs or modifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience working as a mold maker.
• Experience working with progressive dies and stamping is strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of machine molds and their uses.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design schematics.
• Extensive experience with metalworking tools including drills, milling machines, grinders, and lathes.
• Experience with quality control analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
