Responsibilities create and optimize content for digital platforms writing and editing stories across a wide range of topics reacting to breaking news across platforms clipping and optimizing video on CBSNews.com and on YouTube executing growth initiatives across platforms coordinating, producing and updating web coverage of news stories managing homepages to present the best of journalism proactively planning content around key news events tracking content performance and sharing insights Requirements 2+ years of experience in a digital breaking news environment skilled writer who can produce quality copy on deadline experience executing on SEO strategies knack for framing content in an engaging way for a digital audience deeply familiar with analytics platforms like Google Analytics, Omniture, Chartbeat and Parse.ly thrive in a collaborative team environment Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in creating and optimizing digital content, with a strong focus on SEO strategies and analytics.
