Job Description:

- We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Surgical Instrument Technician to play a vital role in our team.


Key Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate and process surgical instruments, ensuring everything is ready for use.
- Assemble and manage surgical instrument sets with precision-counting and recording to maintain accuracy.
- Sterilize instruments, trays, and other equipment using appropriate exposure and dry times.
- Prepare instruments for immediate use sterilization when necessary-your quick thinking can support timely procedures!
- Keep our environment clean and orderly: wipe surfaces, clean autoclaves, and maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Assist with room turnover and terminal cleaning of Operating Room suites alongside the housekeeping team.
- Help pick supplies and instruments for upcoming procedures, ensuring our team is always prepared.
- Conduct daily diagnostic testing on sterilizing equipment, guaranteeing the highest level of safety and functionality.
- Provide reprocessing services for various ancillary departments, making sure all equipment is ready and compliant.
- Maintain a log for loaner instruments and evaluate them for safety prior to processing.

Requirements:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent required; Associate's/Technical Degree preferred.
- Sterile Processing Technician certification is required.
- At least two years of recent experience in the field.
- Current BLS certification is essential.
