Travel CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Open Heart Recovery
Assignment Type: Travel Contract/Local Contract

ARMStaffing is hiring experienced and confident CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurses (RNs) for Open Heart Recovery travel assignments across the U.S. If you're highly skilled in post-op cardiac care and ready to take your career on the road, let's get you placed where you're needed most.

Job Description:
As a Travel CVICU RN , you'll care for patients recovering from complex cardiovascular procedures, including open-heart surgery, heart transplants, and bypass grafts. You'll monitor hemodynamics, manage critical drips, and support patients through their most delicate recovery phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care to post-cardiac surgery patients in the CVICU
• Monitor vital signs, manage vasoactive drips, and assess for complications
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and interdisciplinary teams
• Operate advanced cardiac monitoring and life support equipment
• Document and communicate effectively to ensure continuity of care

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact license preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or Open Heart Recovery experience
• Strong knowledge of hemodynamics, ventilators, and cardiac pharmacology
• Ability to adapt quickly in high-acuity, high-pressure settings
