Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:

TRAVEL - RN OR (701) is responsible for delivering safe, efficient perioperative nursing care within the Operating Room. This role supports surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile environment, assisting the surgical team, and ensuring patient readiness before, during, and after surgery.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field and operating room environment for surgical procedures.
• Assist circulating and/or scrub functions to support surgical team workflow throughout cases.
• Perform preoperative assessments, verify orders, and confirm patient safety requirements.
• Monitor patients intraoperatively and respond to clinical needs within scope of practice.
• Manage and document perioperative nursing care, including relevant observations and interventions.
• Coordinate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, and support staff to promote safe outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Possess an active RN license and eligibility to work in the assigned travel location.
• Demonstrate experience in Operating Room/Perioperative nursing or equivalent OR clinical rotations.
• Maintain current BLS certification and comply with facility and specialty training requirements.
• Exhibit strong aseptic technique skills and operating room safety knowledge.
• Show proficiency with perioperative documentation and patient safety protocols.
• Ability to travel within a 50+ mile radius and adapt to changing case demands.
