Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with ambulatory OR and ophthalmology experience for a day shift position at an ambulatory eye surgery center.

Details

• Ambulatory Surgery Center specializing in ocular procedures across multiple subspecialties
• Oculoplastic cases including browlifts, ptosis repair, blepharoplasty, MOHs reconstructions, decompressions, enucleation/exenteration, corneal re-neuralization with nerve transfer, and I-125 radiation plaque placement
• Retina cases including scleral buckle, vitrectomy (25g & 23g), and laser treatments
• Glaucoma cases including Ahmed and Baerveldt implants, MIGS procedures (iStent, XEN), goniotomy, trabeculectomy, and laser treatments
• Cornea cases including corneal transplants, DMEK, DSAEK, amniotic membrane transplants, limbal cell transplants, and artificial iris implants
• Additional OTO cases 5 days per month including septoplasty, rhinoplasty, MOHs reconstruction, and minor facelifts
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• No call, float, or weekend requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technology experience
• Ambulatory OR experience required
• Ophthalmology experience required
• BLS certification required
• CST certification preferred
• Active Michigan license required (compact licenses not accepted); license required if applicable
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Two supervisor or manager references required (charge nurse references not accepted)

• All requested time off must be submitted upfront, with no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
