Role As a Project Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in driving company growth by managing capital activities, funding the development pipeline, and evaluating investment decisions. The role reports to the Head of Corporate Finance and Investment and internally works closely with legal, real estate, and energy. You will also interface closely with SIP, banking advisors, and external legal counsel. This is a full-time position based out of Verrus’ Mountain View, CA office. Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with financing parties including lenders, advisors, investment tax advisors, and consultants Evaluate financing alternatives including investment tax credits using detailed financial models and scenario analysis Assist with transaction execution including due diligence (data rooms/research), project documentation, and transaction closing Support satisfying post-closing requirements including reporting, compliance, and draw schedules by coordinating internal and external cross-functional workstreams Build and maintain financial models to underwrite project investment, capital-at-risk, cash flow requirements, and debt/equity scenarios Create and present investment memos for capital approval Develop recommendations and presentations for key stakeholders including our Investment Committee, our Board of Directors, and external financing parties Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent field/experience 3+ years experience executing greenfield project financings for infrastructure projects and/or treasury/ capital markets transaction experience including new capital raises, VDR management, post-closing reporting, and compliance Experience underwriting development projects in datacenter, energy, infrastructure, real estate or other similar industries Experience at a sponsor / developer / project owner at minimum, additionally experience in investment banking, project finance lending, or other relevant transactional roles Experience building DCF models in Excel to calculate financial returns, evaluate financing alternatives, and project scenarios Experience preparing investment memos and presentations for investment committee or board of directors Experience or willingness to work in an entrepreneurial/start-up environment balancing a wide scope of responsibility and collaborating cross-functionally Preferred Qualifications MBA or other advanced degree Experience securing investment tax credits Proven ability to break down and solve intricate business problems; comfortable moving between detailed analysis and high-level strategic thinking Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex strategies into clear, actionable recommendations, and to confidently present them to senior leadership Independently able to focus on the core of challenges and proactively takes the initiative to get things done Compensation The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000-$175,000. Compensation is determined by multiple factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Salary is only one part of Verrus’ comprehensive compensation package, which also includes a discretionary bonus, equity, general health benefits and paid time off.
