Equipment Technician
The Equipment Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing lift equipment prior to shipment. This role involves troubleshooting all aspects of the equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic parts. The technician will also perform intensive repairs that standard technicians cannot manage.
Responsibilities
- Perform the test and inspection process for lift equipment, including proficiently troubleshooting and resolving electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
- Interpret blueprints and electrical schematics, utilizing any specialty tools as required.
- Assist in driving back defects to the point of origin and identify and assist in the implementation of corrective actions.
- Validate that the machine configuration aligns with the sales order and properly complete the EQC process.
- Effectively collaborate across all departments to assist in training new team members on processes and equipment functions.
- Use and train others on electronic devices, including EQC, MDS, JED, and AS400.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of mechanic experience on heavy or rental equipment.
- Experience with JLG lift equipment.
- Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to drive, test, and conduct offline inspections on equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred quality control experience.

Work Environment
The work environment is an open-aired shop with a regular schedule from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Candidates must be available to work overtime as needed, which could include additional hours from Monday to Friday until 4:30 pm and mandatory Saturdays and/or Sundays, usually from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, depending on production needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jersey Village, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.45/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
